I enjoy the activity of painting, and, after having spent a number of years at it, I've discovered that I know less now than when I started.

Piccasso is reported to have stated that he spent his whole life learning to see as a child. I can think of no greater persuit than to recapture the innocence and naive'ness of that child one 'used' to be. No more preconceived notions of painting prowess - no ego - no 'letting knowledge' get in the way.

Funny how the formal education - while beneficial - eventually needs to be sluffed in order for one to be able to grow.

How wonderful to know that the 'journey' need not cease.
